About IronHead Racing - Triathlon Club
IronHead Racing triathlon club, and was formed in the late summer of 2006 by co-founders Dan Haynes and Richard Guy, two multisports athletes dedicated to getting the most out of triathlon and multisports events.
The aim of IronHead Racing triathlon club was to bring together multisport athletes – initially those involved in long course racing, to share ideas on multisport training and racing. The main aim was to take things back to basics – train hard and race harder.
It evolved in a very short time to include those interested in all multisport racing, cycling, and running, for those based in SW London and further a field.
By taking things back to basics the co-founders felt that the club should be run on a more collective basis rather than a committee based club – the approach has been very informal and has suited those involved.
In 2007, with a small increase in members, Iron-Head has enjoyed a very successful season. Top Ten finishes in triathlons, multisport events, an age-group win at the Ballbuster Duathlon, Ironman finishes, members selected for GB Age Group teams, and strong performances all round.
